The Transforming Technologies Non-Marking ESD Heel Grounder (HG1360NM2) helps keep your controlled environment clean. It is constructed from a non-marking, highly dissipative three-layer rubber. The reversible 1.5″ wide rubber cup secures the heel both at the back and underneath. Furthermore, its 7.5″ length rubber provides enough cup volume to comfortably fit users with larger shoe sizes. A 7″ stretch hook and loop enclosure ensures a comfortable fit.
These grounders connect the person wearing them to ground. Therefore, this connection occurs via a proper floor mat or flooring material. Wearing the conductive ribbon inside the shoe or sock assures proper electrical contact with the user. Additionally, a 1 meg ohm resistor is standard and buried for safety. You wear heel grounders on both feet. Thus, this practice provides consistent grounding while staff members are in motion.
