The Contec CONSTIX SC-2 Cotton Round Double-Ended Swab consists of high-quality, long staple-length cotton. We tightly wrap and shape this cotton on both ends of high-strength, wound paper handles. A methyl-cellulose binder holds the heads securely to the handles. These are Sanyo Huby brand swabs, which Contec imports.
The high-quality cotton fibers provide excellent particle entrapment and retention. They also offer exceptional sorbency of most solvents and solutions. The tightly wrapped and shaped heads, secured with a methyl-cellulose binder, minimize fiber shedding. They also maintain low levels of extractable residue. The SC series cotton swabs effectively absorb most common solvents, including isopropyl alcohol and acetone. They are also ideal for use with aqueous based solutions.
