The Contec CONSTIX Mini Flexible Tip Sealed Foam Swab (SF-9) consists of polyurethane foam. This foam bonds directly to a polypropylene handle without adhesives or binders. The polyurethane foam head provides good particle entrapment and removal. Furthermore, its absorbent foam readily sorbs solvents such as isopropanol and ethanol, making it ideal for applications involving solvent delivery or removal. It also offers excellent performance when applying resins and adhesives.
However, while compatible with many common solvents, we do not recommend using the SF-9 with ketones like acetone or MEK.
