Anti-static Tape is specially formulated to greatly reduce charge generation. Because of its low dielectric constant, what little charge is produced while peeling away, instantly dissipates. It’s great for a wide range of workstation and material handling applications such as binding, edging, securing and sealing.
Standard cellophane tape generates large amounts of voltage. If used at and ESD bench where ESDS are present, the charged electrostatic field from the tape can cause damage to ESD sensitive components, including those packed inside of ESD bags and containers.
