The Contec CONSTIX Double-Ended Pointed Cotton Swabs (SC-1) consist of high-quality, long staple-length cotton. We tightly wrap and shape this cotton on both ends of high-strength, wound paper handles. A methyl-cellulose binder holds the heads securely to the handles. These are Sanyo Huby brand swabs, which Contec imports.
The high-quality cotton fibers provide exceptional sorbency of most solvents and solutions. The very tightly wrapped and shaped heads, secured with a methyl-cellulose binder, minimize fiber shedding. The SC series cotton swabs effectively absorb most common solvents, including isopropyl alcohol and acetone. They are also ideal for use with aqueous based solutions.
